`` The Basics Name: Megara “Meg” Lysandra
Age: Eighteen
Gender: Female
`` About You
Race: Demon
Class: Earth Elemental
Appearance (No Pictures):
f a c e ; Megara has a pretty simple appearance with very soft features. She has a round-shaped face with slightly high cheek bones. With her slightly puffy looking cheekbones and her tiny nose, when she was younger many people called her a chipmunk, though this ‘compliment’ sort of phased out when she grew older. She has full lips which are usually a faint shade of pink and a simple, yet pretty smile.
e y e s ; Meg’s eyes are usually very intent and focused on the world around her. They’re hazel in color, changing without warning from day to day, though they usually settle around a dark blue or green shade. She’ll usually decorate her eyes a bit with some mascara and eyeliner, though she tends to stay away from other types of makeup.
h a i r ; Compared to her ghostly pale complexion, Meg’s hair is a dark shade of brown looking nearly black. She has soft bangs which reach just above her eyes which tend to part wherever they feel like. Her hair is long and very wavy, cascading down to about her mid-back. It is normally seen down because she hates taking so much time to put it up, though sometimes she pulls it back into a ponytail.
b o d y ; Meg has a slender shape, standing at the height of 5’6”. Her arms and especially legs seem to be stretched out from the rest of her body, appearing very long and thin. She’s slightly curvy, more so in the hips. Her muscles in her legs, arms, and abs are toned thanks to her elemental practicing, though you couldn’t tell too much by looking at her because she tends to cover herself up quite a bit. She doesn’t like showing off too much skin because of how pale she is. Like most of her features, her skin is also soft.
s t y l e ; When it comes to clothes, Meg doesn’t really care what she wears. She tends to stay away from bright colors, sticking mostly with dark and natural tones. Dark blue, green, brown and white are what she’s often found wearing. She usually keeps to jeans mostly, though she does wear shorts every now and then, especially when she practicing with her earth element. She’s really a plain and simple girl.

Character History:
When Megara was born, she was unfortunately brought into a world that did not want her yet. Whether it was because her parents were too young, scared, or just did not want a baby, they sent her down the river in a basket. Luckily for her, she made it to a very demon populated place, the Town of Vindur, which welcomed her in upon finding her and recognizing she was on of them. She was raised by Creole and Aldira Lysandra, an older couple who had always wanted a child, who loved Megara as if she were their own.
Meg was at first a very good child, though when she was growing older she began to feel different. She became rebellious, feeling as if she was always being told what to do, how to do it, and so on. Because of all her acting out, Aldira decided Meg needed some discipline. Being the kind sort, she figured that instead of giving her chores or jobs to do, she would hire someone to teach her the ways of the elements. She found a young teacher, an Earth elemental, telling him to be slightly strict with Meg for her punishment – and that’s exactly what he did.
Her punishment began with having to wake up early that morning by her teacher. After waking up and having a light breakfast, they would walk out of the town, past the crops and plains, and into some unfarmed meadows. It was a long walk which they did every day, and without a break he would have her start her lessons. In the beginning there was many days when Meg would be late, many days of dread, and more then plenty of times which she would pretend she was too sick to go. Her teacher found this aggravating, though he continued the lessons for Aldira’s sake.
Being out in the empty fields was nice because there was plenty of room, and plenty of earth surrounding them. There was a lot to learn and a lot of walking, though after awhile the punishment did not seem so painful anymore. Meg felt herself wanting to get up and enjoying the walk and especially the lessons. There were even the occasional times when a dragon would be making its way to the Laurus Valley, and Meg definitely had a pleasure with that. Bromley, her teacher, noticed the change in his student, and continued on, getting into the more difficult stuff. It was a good thing Meg became more dedicated to the art, because this helped her pick up on everything rather quickly. Eventually she learned everything that Brom could teach.
After the lessons were over, Meg found it hard to stay away from the meadows and continue to practice. Although she wasn’t acting up anymore, she still felt as if she didn’t belong, though she never understood why. Aldira finally thought it was time to tell Meg the truth about how they found her, and that she was really found and in a way adopted. Upon hearing this news, Meg finally understood why she felt so different. She took the news pretty hard on herself, feeling that it was her fault her original family didn’t want her. She must be the problem, she thought, and why should anyone be stuck with her?
After a couple of days of intense practicing, she finally felt the need to just get away. She packed up a bag with as much as she could, then fled that night away from Vindur. She wrote Aldira and Creole a note, though she could not bear to say goodbye to them. She would eventually come back, she wrote, though only when the time was right. Now Meg’s on her own, a runaway, and just out trying to find a place she really belongs.
Other (Pets, Home...): A little bit about her personality, I suppose.
Megara is a very independent individual. Growing up with an older couple made her grow up fast because they were sometimes too old to take care of her. She’s also feisty and stubborn, especially when she does not get her way. She acts tough, though she is actually really sensitive, hiding it the best she can by acting tougher. Not liking being told what to do or how to do it, she can be very rebellious towards even the authority figures. She’s sarcastic at times though really has a soft side, you just have to get to know her or get on her good side first.
Role-Play Sample:
The day was dragging out quite annoyingly, to be honest. Megara let out a sigh as she continued walking through the town, her bag pulled tightly over her shoulder. Being from such an open area with plains, fields, and crops, towns and cities like this were very different. And because she didn’t know the people around here that well, who knew if they were good or bad. She didn’t want anyone stealing anything out of her bag, that was for sure.
Hearing a small cry she paused in her step, glancing around to find the source. She spotted a small girl, about the age of five or six sitting on the ground, holding her legs up to her chest and whimpering. Having a soft spot for children Meg neared her, kneeling down in front of her with a soft smile. “Hello, little girl. My name is Meg. Are you alright?”
The girl gasped a bit, wiping her eyes to try to hide the fact that she was crying. This made Meg smile more, reminding her of herself when she was younger, always trying to be tough. “Yes, I-I’m okay.” With a little whimper she said these words, not proving her point too much.
Meg tilted her head, then set her bag down. The girl whimpered some more and held her legs closer. Eyeing the people around her and not finding too many glancing over at the two of them, she reached in her bag and took out a couple seeds. She set them on the ground in between herself and the girl, who gave her a confused, yet interested look. She opened her hand above them, and with that slight movement they began to grow. Raising her hand slowly the seeds grew into small stems, and then finally sprouting three small flowers. The little girl’s eyes were wide and her mouth open in awe, and Meg continued her little show for her. She twisted her fingers around a few times and the three flowers wrapped around each other, forming a mini bouquet for the girl. Meg took them and handed it to the little girl, and the girl reached out and grabbed them with a smile. “Thank you, miss Meg,” she said.
With a grin Meg nodded, noticing a woman, probably her mother coming to grab the little girl to go somewhere else. “Look what the nice lady made me, mommy!” The girl exclaimed. Her mother scoffed and muttered a, “Ladies don’t make flowers, honey.” The girl waved back to Meg and shrugged. Meg laughed, pulling her bag over her shoulder again, continuing on her way.
