[The following is a mock duel in an attempt to teach members of the Isle of Lumen how to duel using our system]
On the plateau of the Laurus Mountain range, Càrrec waited, knowing that it would not belong before a creature came forth to duel with him. This time, he knew, he would win. He threw his wager, 15 Gold, onto the ground, waiting in silence as the freezing wind swept past him, though he could not feel it.

A fearsome Griffin, having seen Càrrec from the distance, flew forward, howling loudly before planting hoofs and claws onto the solid rock.
Griffin:

HP: 20/20
Càrrec Lahey:
HP: 58/58

Càrrec breathed heavily, watching the Griffin plow forward, unleashing an unrelenting shriek that would otherwise scare anyone else to the point of giving up, but he knew he had to beat this thing.
Càrrec equips his Yew staff.

The Griffin runs forward, slashing at his foe with all of his force.
The attack succeeds, but is softened by Càrrec's Yew staff.

Càrrec flys backward at the force of the blow, and is left with a rather large gash in his arm.
Càrrec brandishes a potion vial, downing the silvery liquid within. [Health Vial - Powerful]

Càrrec drinks the Health Vial - Powerful. It is successful, and his HP is entirely restored.
Frustrated by the lack of power by his last blow, the Griffin runs forth, it's beak wide and menacing.
It misses, though, and hurts itself in the process.

Càrrec runs forth, brandishing his Yew. With a few choice words of Old, he brings down the staff on the Griffin... [Attack Move - (Name Here)]

The attack of Càrrec's hits, deminishing the remaining HP of the Griffin.
In its retreat, the Griffin gives Càrrec 15 Gold.
